1958 Chevrolet Corvette
Description
1958 Chevrolet Corvette
Just like baseball and cherry pie, the Chevrolet Corvette screams USA. Post WWII Harely Earl was watching all of the returning service men importing MG’s, Jaguars and Alfa Romeos, small, open two-seat roadsters, which did not exist yet in the US. So at that time Earl decided America was ready for a new thrill of automobile. The C1 was debuted in 1953 and six months later they were in production. The C1 would last a full nine years one major facelift and several subtle changes. For 1958, the grills became very chrome and very prominent as well as exposed 4 headlight design would last a few years. The interior and instruments were updated that included a placing the tachometer directly in front of the driver. The 58 we are proud to be featuring is finished in Snowcrest White over Red. The car has the optioned Wonderbar radio and comes with both hard and soft tops. Although this car was originally a hard-top only car from the factory, the last owner added a brand new soft top as well. The car comes equipped with a 327 Cubic inch V8 mated to the factory 4-speed transmission. The paint shows very well, although unsure of the age. The interior is in excellent condition with Daytona Weave carpet. The chrome is nice and underside of the car is also very presentable. The heater core has been removed but a new one is in the box and comes with purchase. The car starts, runs and drives great. Comes out of excellent collector car ownership since 2007. This is 100% ready to go and be enjoyed.
